Tim Kent, an American artist, was born December 19, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. Shortly after, his family relocated to Overland Park, Kansas, where he was raised. Returning to Georgia to continue his education, Kent is currently pursuing a BFA in painting at Savannah College of Art and Design. In Kent's most recent body of work, he explores consumer relations with the products they admire. In an effort to redefine the relationship that is often severed between art, design, and technology, his paintings bring an organic touch to the otherwise lifeless world of commodities. At age 18, Kent had his first work displayed in a museum, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. His work has continued to gain recognition through group shows, and most recently, his first solo show in Manhattan, New York. The solo show featured several oil paintings for the Manhattan based company AMMO NYC. Kent plans to continue pursuing business relationships, in order to bring to define the passion that exists for consumerism in culture.
